ACC Spotlight Submission Fee

A core part of the Asian Cinema Collective is our commitment to sharing Asian led stories, we’re excited to be announcing a new initiative for 2026!

To accompany our screenings at Chinatown Cinema, we are planning to show a short film by an Asian Australian creative/team. Each short will be curated to pair with the month’s feature film - and we’re open to any themes and formats - as long as they are under 5 minutes, and are able to be shown on the big screen without additional support. 

Selected films will have their short converted to DCP, and shown on the big screen at Chinatown Cinema! 

Submissions for our first program announcement (Feb-April) are open now, and have a $20 submission fee to cover the costs of this project.
